This years Snowman Rally took place in Tain, Ardgay (past Carbisdale Castle) and Lairg. Christine and I met some friends at the 2nd Stage, where the cars were buzzing past Carbisdale Castle along a long straight to break hard into some sharp corners.

July 2006

Well, that's it. We have our peats at home. It was hard work to put all peats in the bags, then lift all bags in the trailer / pickup and unload everything into the peat shed. But it is done now. We can now look forward to the winter to burn the peats in our fire place.

May 2006

Christine and I went to our peat bank to cut peats for the winter. It took us 2 days to complete the hard work but now we are finished and we are very pleased with it. In about 2 months time we will come back to the peat bank to pile them all up so that the peats can dry out completely.

November 2005

In January 1990 I bought a new VW Golf 2 with only 4 km on the clock. About 16 years later I reached with this great car 500,000 km. [ Pictures ]

Thank you VW for building such a great car!

Note: The clutch and the engine are still original from 1990.

October 2005

Graduation day at the Moray College in Elgin where Christine received her BA Fine Art Degree. It took her nearly 4 years and lots of hard work to receive this goal.

September 2005

Well, I suppose I can't deny it any longer! Yes, I am 40! So it was time for a proper Party! A Wig party to be more specific (thanks to Gina and Christine for this fab idea). Lots of friends turned up and we all had a very good time. Thanks to everyone who made this party a real cracker!

Well, everything that has a beginning has an end. Our little darling found a nice new home. We could not ask for a better place for her to stay. We will miss her. Especially the thing when she wants to play with your socks while your feet are still in it! Auauauauau...

One of the most famous Ships, the "Queen Mary 2" arrived for a short visit at the Docks in Invergordon - not very far from there where we live. Christine and I went with our motor bikes to the Harbour to see the ship in real life.
